Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and lead cost out projects in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Sourcing and coordinating overall activity to deliver cost saving measures in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with Sourcing the action workout or Kaizen events and with suppliers in collaboration with Engineering team.
- Engaging in all phases of project development and drive project execution, review project status and lead efforts to improve existing supply chains.
- Analyze and drive all activities to fill pipeline of projects to ensure goal is met. Identify additional opportunities, develop business cases demonstrating viability, and drive appropriate ownership/accountability to execute selected projects
- Provide high visibility/quality communication - build summary updates for cost-out operational reviews with the leadership to review ideas, project status, KPI’s, and deep dive special projects
- Be focal point for the modality sourcing cost out activities and work independently to complete and execute all project tasks with focus
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Engineering; Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Desired prior GE Leadership program experience, such as OMLP, FMP, CAS.
- Prior sourcing experience in negotiation, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers, and implementing contracts
- Proven business/financial acumen, experience in sourcing or supply chain
- Practical experience in balancing and optimizing sourcing / engineering process rigor with VCP delivery priorities.
- Excellent project management, multi-task to drive critical issues simultaneously, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to energize, and influence others; Strong organizational, inter-personal skill and demonstrated leadership skill
- Ability to work effectively across functions to deliver results and execute multiple commitments within the Global Environment
