About the role:
  • Drive the development and execution of category strategies to achieve category sales and profit targets
  • Execute core category management disciplines, ensuring the company's product offers are performing at the highest level
  • Leadership of your own dedicated Category Assistant, driving engagement and capability with strong coaching and ongoing development
  • Contribute to a customer-centric culture within the wider team
  • Grow performance of key supplier partnerships through effective joint business planning
  • Quickly resolve disputes involving suppliers and keep communication channels open with relevant parties
About you:
  • You are at the point in your career where you are looking to find the right employer to support your ongoing education and ambition
  • You bring proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar role - a distribution or retail industry background would be an advantage
  • Experience with leading supplier negotiations and procurement is essential
  • A tertiary education in a business or marketing field would be highly regarded but not essential
  • You have superb analytical skills and the ability to pick up on new IT systems with ease
