About the role:
- Drive the development and execution of category strategies to achieve category sales and profit targets
- Execute core category management disciplines, ensuring the company's product offers are performing at the highest level
- Leadership of your own dedicated Category Assistant, driving engagement and capability with strong coaching and ongoing development
- Contribute to a customer-centric culture within the wider team
- Grow performance of key supplier partnerships through effective joint business planning
- Quickly resolve disputes involving suppliers and keep communication channels open with relevant parties
- You are at the point in your career where you are looking to find the right employer to support your ongoing education and ambition
- You bring proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar role - a distribution or retail industry background would be an advantage
- Experience with leading supplier negotiations and procurement is essential
- A tertiary education in a business or marketing field would be highly regarded but not essential
- You have superb analytical skills and the ability to pick up on new IT systems with ease
